In June of 2011, Counter Culture hit the music scene hard, flooding Northern California with numerous live shows on college campuses and at bars, restaurants, private parties and even a local TV appearance. Their youthful energy brings an engaging and entertaining show proven to be popular with audiences of all ages, and the band has already shared the stage with such artists as Anthony B, Junior Toots, Paapa Wastik, King Hopeton, Ras D, Trevor Lyon, Ras Indio.

Their grooves can be compared to artists such as Sublime, Rebelution and Iration, blending influences from roots, island & dancehall reggae, ska, dub, rock, punk and hip-hop.

With the highly anticipated release of their debut album and dates backing Ras Indio in the spring of 2012, the Counter Culture grass fire has been set ablaze, and shows are booking up fast! Listen closely, because Counter Culture and is sure change the landscape of reggae music in Northern California forever!
