19 BROADWAY NITECLUB SOUND POLICY
I. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS, AND WEEKNIGHT SHOWS WHEN A COVER IS CHARGED AT THE DOOR:
The following sound policy is for weekend nights and week nights where a cover is charged at the door only.
- These procedures will ensure good sound and a pleasant experience for bands and patrons.
- Load in through the back door between 6:30 and 8:00 PM.Sound check at 8:30.
- Sound Checks are line and monitor checks only and should be as brief as possible. Playing part of a song should be sufficient to achieve this goal. Rehearsing is not permitted, extensive sound checks are detrimental to doing business at the bar.
- Please keep in mind that the room acoustics change as the evening progresses. The house engineer will make changes as necessary during the show.Bands are welcome to bring their own engineer. The house engineer will work with him/her to facilitate the best sound for the band and patrons. Bands are responsible for the compensation of their engineer. Under no circumstances will 19 Broadway compensate outside engineers. Band engineers work at the sole discretion of the house engineer and club management. We reserve the right to take control of the system at any time.
- When more than one band is performing on the same night, the headliner (last act, first on the calendar billing) will set up and sound check first. Subsequent acts will set up in front of the headliner’s gear. Opening acts will be available immediately after their set to remove their equipment from the stage. Drums, etc. will be broken down off stage to facilitate a smooth set change.
- The back door is a Fire Exit and must be kept clear at all times.
- Bands arriving late without prior arrangements will not have a sound check.

- Requests from the Bartender or Management regarding both Stage and PA volume must be immediately honored or the Band will be required to end their set.
- If your band would like to use the full house PA system (4 separate monitor mixes, sub woofers, 3 front of house mixes etc.) you may hire the club sound person at a rate of $100. You may bring your own Sound Person to work the stage board but keep in mind that the mixer is on the stage behind the mains.
