Singer-guitarist and bandleader Danny Uzilevsky is a Bay Area favorite who has played with Jesse Collin Young, Big Brother & the Holding Company, Preacher Boy, and Chuck Day. A true original on the guitar with a throaty baritone to match, Danny’s many voices are woven into songwriting that runs somewhere between the self-assured holler of Steve Earle and the wildly fanciful stylings of Tom Waits.
For the last 14 years Bay Area keyboardist Jonathan Korty has toured the U.S., Canada and Mexico with his band, Vinyl. Founded in his Mill Valley garage in 1995, Vinyl has been awarded SF Weekly’s award for “Best International Band”, The North Bay Bohemian’s award for " Best Funk/R&B Band " and has won the Pacific Sun Reader’s Poll award for " Best Local Band " four times. Their music had been featured on Comedy Central’s “South Park”, MTV’s “Real World”, Sony’s “Gameplay” video series, Teton Gravity Research videos and National Public Radio, among others. In 2006, he starred as Herschel Tambor Brillstein III in Les Claypool’s (Primus) directorial debut, “Electric Apricot: Quest for Festeroo” produced by National Lampoon. Some of his playing credits include Bernie Worrell (P-Funk, Talking Heads), Phil Lesh, George Porter (The Meters), Les Claypool (Primus), Betty Lavette, Huey Lewis, Angela Streghli, Freddie Hughes, Austin deLone, Clarence Clemons, Sugarpie deSanto, Maria Muldaur, Rob Wasserman, Roy Rogers, The Rondo Brothers, Yossi Fine (David Bowie) and Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads). In 2007, he composed the score for the film, “My Horse, My Friend” along with Hot Buttered Rum violinist Aaron Redner. He is a contributing music writer for Marin Magazine, The Pacific Sun and The North Bay Bohemian and is currently a member of several bands including Chrome Johnson, Honeydust, Kelly Peterson Band, Vinyl and his own band, Jon Korty and Friends.
